A BIT OF "LA VIE EN ROSE" FOR THIS MOTHER'S DAY
With Mother's Day around the corner, we wanted to gift you a very simple recipe that will cast the day in the perfect shade of pink!
Often touted by our Winemaker as his favorite wine, you will see Sterling swirling a casual glass of Oasis Rosé anytime he is away from his barrels and finding some time to socialize at CASS. Blended from 57% Mourvèdre and 43% Grenache, this beautiful wine has aromas of strawberries and a pronounced flavor of guava that compliments the incredible shade of pink that Sterling so carefully crafts.
Though it is hard to improve on simply pouring this straight out of the bottle, this easy spritzer recipe drops the alcohol percentage low enough to enjoy it as a refreshing beverage perfect for the brunch table. If you do not find time to make it this weekend, you will absolutely want to file this one away for your next pool day!
THE OASIS ROSÉ SPRITZER
- 3 oz Oasis Rosé
- 2 oz Tonic Water
- 2 Sliced Strawberries
- 2 Lemon Slices
- 1 Slice of Cucumber, sliced lengthwise
- 1 Sprig of Mint
- Crushed Ice
- Optional: A Splash of St. Germain
For this drink, the garnishes are all about making thin slices. Use a very sharp knife or make things easy by using a mandolin. Then, simply add all the ingredients together over ice.
Surprisingly, the prettier the glass, the more special this "cocktail" will taste.
